Seven Rocky Run Students selected to All-Virginia Honor MS Choir

Rocky Run students were recognized for their outstanding performance on this year's National Latin Exam

On Thursday, April 27, Edith Patou, author of "East" and other Young Adult books visited Rocky Run. She conducted several several "Writers Workshops" and a "Author Talks and Q & A" session. She also attended Rocky Run's April "Parent Teen Book Club" at which her novel "East" was one of the featured selections.

Rocky Run held three presentations, one for parents on Monday, 4/24 and one each for 8th and 7th grades on Tuesday, 4/25. on bullying, cyberbullying and teen depression by Mr. John Halligan.

Rocky Run took part in the Annual Piedmont Region Battle of the Books Competition.

Dr. Ken Harman's 2nd period Science Class was interrupted by FCPS Region 5 Executive Principal, Ms. Rebecca Baenig. Ms. Baenig was at Rocky Run to present Dr. Harman with his certificate as the Region 5 First Year Teacher of the Year.
