Rocky Run hosted four authors and Parent Teen Book Club

On Thursday, October 19, 2017, Rocky Run hosted our first "Author Fest" which we hope will become an annual event, and Parent Teen Book Club.  Pictured above (left to right) are the authors who participated, Valerie Patterson, Operation Oleander; Mary Amato, Guitar Notes; Erin Teagan, The Friendship Experiment; and Brian Herberger, Miss E. The evening began with an Author Panel discussion and Q & A by the more than 120 students and parents.  After the panel discussion, everyone broke up and went to their assigned location for a discussion of the title read by the student and their parent as we kicked off the Parent Teen Book Club.  Teacher facilitators were: Ms. Christman (Guitar Notes); Ms. Brown (Miss E.); Ms Williams (Friendship Experiment); and Ms. Falknor (Operation Oleander). The authors above had just signed their book titles on the poster in the picture.  This is Rocky Run's 11th year of Parent Teen Book Clubs.
